Atrimmec Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) has aimed to help lawn and landscape professionals for four decades by reducing trimming and pruning labor of shrubs, trees and groundcovers, according to PBI-Gordon. At this year’s 2025 Elevate Conference and Expo (Nov. 2-5 in Phoenix, Ariz.), PBI-Gordon Corporation will celebrate the PGR’s 40th birthday.

Atrimmec is labeled not only for foliar use but also for bark banding and soil drench applications and works systemically to block the plant hormones that stimulate the growth of landscape ornamentals. Atrimmec can also be applied the same day as trimming, aiming to provide convenience and efficiency for landscape maintenance around buildings and residential areas.

Attendees can visit PBI-Gordon at booth #325 in the Phoenix Convention Center to take part in the celebration, including a “putt for prizes” contest and a chance to win a premium putter in a giveaway drawing.

Atrimmec will be showcased alongside several of PBI-Gordon’s most advanced products for the professional lawn care industry:

  • Q4 Plus Turf Herbicide for Grassy and Broadleaf Weeds combines four powerful active ingredients into one formulation that kills crabgrass and a wide variety of broadleaf weeds. A pre-mixed solution for use on warm and cool season turfgrasses, Q4 Plus takes the guesswork out of tank mixing — useful when a turfgrass professional works with multiple products, active ingredients and formulations.
  • Arkon Herbicide Liquid utilizes the proprietary active ingredient pyrimisulfan in an innovative liquid formulation for post-emergent control of nutsedge and kyllinga. The herbicide also decreases the number and viability of nutsedge tubers and controls dollar weed, chickweed, henbit and many other labeled broadleaf weeds. Arkon has no maximum temperature restriction, which means it can be used on both cool- and warm- season turfgrass varieties.
  • SpeedZone EW Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf is formulated to provide fast and dependable post-emergent control of more than 90 tough broadleaf weeds, including dandelion, dollarweed, goosegrass, ground ivy, nimbleweed, plantain, spurge and white clover. It features a one-week reseed interval.
  • One of the fastest-acting combo herbicide products on the market, according to the company, TZone SE Broadleaf Herbicide combines the proven performance of triclopyr with precise ratios of multiple active ingredients. It quickly controls more than 75 of the toughest broadleaf weeds, including wild violet, ground ivy and oxalis.
