The employee-owners of PBI-Gordon Corp. promoted Jeff Marvin, Ph.D., to vice president of research and development.

Marvin joined PBI-Gordon in 2011 as the director of field research. According to the company, his expertise in budgeting, agriculture, research, collaborative management and product development has helped the company grow and attract top talent. He holds a bachelor’s degree in turfgrass science from Penn State University and holds a doctorate in plant and environmental science from Clemson University.

“Jeff is highly respected throughout the professional turf and ornamental management industry, and we are fortunate to have him as part of the PBI-Gordon family of employee-owners,” said Neil Cleveland, senior vice president and general manager of PBI-Gordon Corporation. “Jeff’s leadership, expertise and insights have helped us grow and prosper. His promotion to vice president is well-deserved.”

This promotion follows PBI-Gordon’s recent personnel changes, including the addition of Gilbert “Gib” Bourk and Eric Bur to the company’s executive leadership team. Brian Aynardi, Ph.D., Alan Estes and Kevin Miele, were also recently appointed to the company’s newly created field development team to support the turfgrass industry.
