Juniperus chinensis Monlep is an evergreen that displays its green foliage on an arching form in shrub borders, mass plantings and containers. The conifer is cold hardy in zones 3 to 9 and needs full sun. It has a compact growth habit, reaching 4 to 6 ft. tall and 6 to 8 ft. wide. Mint Julep Juniper can be used as in the landscape as a border, topiary or windbreak, and its roots provide erosion control. Once established, it requires minimal watering. It should be fed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring and then pruned in the summer. Monrovia
