Oregon_Logo_Pos_RGB_KOregon Products released its Gator SpeedLoad Cutting System and the SpeedCut Bar and Chain Cutting System at GIE+EXPO in Louiville, Ky., Oct. 23.

Gator SpeedLoad Cutting System

The Gator SpeedLoad Cutting System’s integrated head and disk line system simplifies the replacement of the trimmer line by removing winding, spooling or cutting line.

“The Gator SpeedLoad Cutting System is designed to get professionals back to work and keep them working longer,” said Dale Marcell, senior global product manager for Oregon. “It was engineered to eliminate the hassle and frustration of winding line onto spools. Less loading time and a high quality, durable trimmer line equal more time on the job—and a big impact on a business’s bottom line.”

The trimmer line comes pre-wound in small, self-contained disks for easy transport and fast loading. The result is a fast, easy-to-use trimmer line replacement solution for green industry professionals

“Landscape pros who tested the Gator SpeedLoad in the field were able to change out their trimmer line in under 20 seconds,” said Marcell.

Available in January 2016, the Gator SpeedLoad Cutting System will be available in three models that fit over 95 percent of gas-powered trimmers on the market. The models include a 5-inch diameter head for commercial straight-shaft trimmers for use with .095-inch and .118-inch line; a 4 1/4-inch diameter head for straight shaft trimmers, for use with .080-inch and .095-inch trimmer line; and a 4 1/4-inch diameter head for curved-shaft trimmers for use with .080-inch and .095-inch trimmer line.

SpeedCut System

The SpeedCut System combines Oregon’s new .325-inch pitch narrow kerf saw chain and SpeedCut laminated guide bars. The new SpeedCut narrow kerf saw chain features a redesigned cutter shape. Oregon’s precision grind technology ensures the SpeedCut saw chain is sharp and ready right out of the box, and it’s designed to cut 10 percent faster than Oregon’s top-performing narrow kerf .325-inch pitch saw chain.

“Professionals have trusted Oregon’s guide bars and saw chain for nearly 70 years, but we’re always looking for new ways to offer an even better cutting experience. We designed every aspect of the SpeedCut System with the end user in mind,” said Derek Vlcko, director of product marketing for Oregon forestry products. “Designed to meet the demands of professional users, the lighter and faster SpeedCut System helps our customers accomplish more on the job.”

An aluminum core reduces weight up to 20 percent. The SpeedCut guide bar’s redesigned nose and hardened bar rails enhance overall durability and strength.

Available in 2016, the SpeedCut System can be purchased together in a guide bar and saw chain combo pack and will be available in four lengths: 13-inch, 15-inch, 16-inch and 18-inch. The SpeedCut guide bars and saw chain can also be purchased separately. The guide bar family will be available in five lengths, from 13 inches up to 20 inches. SpeedCut saw chains can be purchased in a variety of loop lengths or in bulk reels at authorized dealers.
