New Holland Construction showcased a full line of compact excavators at GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 18-20.
“We’re proud to present at the Green Industry & Equipment Expo and share the progressive updates we’ve made to our existing mini excavator family,” said Doran Herritt, New Holland Construction Segment marketing leader. “Each model is designed with the customer in mind to improve work efficiency and ensure reliability, without limiting the power and torque needed to get the job done.”
Doubling the size of New Holland’s former compact excavator, the new line of mini excavators includes six models (E17C, E26C, E33C, E37C, E57C and E60C) ranging from 1.7 to 6.0 metric tons. Features include extended life components, liquid-cooled industrial Tier 4 Final-compliant diesel engines, an auto-shift traveling system and lower noise levels, the company said.
When it comes to technology, the mini excavator line features an anti-theft engine start limit system, which requires a passcode to start the engine. Time between engine starts can be manually set. The E57C and E60C models also features a switch layout and touch screen monitor.
The E series also features an auto shift travel system that automatically downshifts when load is sensed to increase torque and upshifts once load is no longer sensed and auto capability to automatically idle when operator does not give input to the control handles and returns to throttle setting when operator moves stick.
