The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) created a Diversity and Inclusion Council.
NALP Councils consist of members who provide guidance and leadership around association programs and initiatives.
NALP said this new Diversity and Inclusion Council will create initiatives with the goals of recruiting a more diverse membership, increasing engagement with members from underrepresented groups and building a more diverse leadership within the association.
The council will also look at strategies to empower racial, gender and social equality within the entire landscape industry.
“The association is committed to leading the industry in helping to attract a diverse workforce and helping landscape and lawn care professionals from underrepresented groups build stronger careers and businesses,” said NALP CEO Britt Wood.
