Morbark introduces the new midsize Rayco C275 Forestry Mulcher and updates its RCT150 Crawler Truck.
C275 Forestry Mulcher
The midsize mulcher can clear small trees, underbrush and a variety of unwanted vegetation across a wide range of environments. The C275 delivers 275 horsepower in a compact, low-ground pressure package.
The C275’s 109-gpm cutter system provides hydraulic power to the Predator mulcher head, which includes 77.5-inch cutting width. The heavy-duty steel undercarriage and powerful final drives allow operators to tackle difficult terrain. The mulcher will also accept a DENIS CIMAF mulcher head.
Rayco’s elevated cooling design keeps engine and hydraulic temperatures within their limits. An operator can activate a reversing fan from the cab to clear the debris screens, helping extend service intervals even when operating in hot, debris-filled environments. The screens are easily removable, and the rear door opens to allow unrestricted access to the debris screen and engine radiator.
The cabs are climate-controlled and sealed from dust and debris to maintain operator comfort. Seats are high-backed and heated with adjustable arm rests and air-ride suspension. The cab is certified to meet rollover protection system, falling object protective structure and is equipped with a rooftop escape hatch. The mulcher also offers high-output LED work lights and a backup camera.
Other key features include Rayco’s track tensioning system, which alerts the operator of overtension situations and provides easier access to track tension grease fittings; a hydraulic tilt cab to access pumps and other components easily; and the hydraulic rear winch.
RCT150 Crawler Truck
The RCT150 Crawler Truck, with a capacity to carry 15,000 pounds, comes with a 10-foot-long by 7.8-foot-wide dump bed with removable sides or as a cab and chassis. It can accept a broad range of truck beds or bodies or be fitted with equipment to perform specialized tasks, such as drill rigs, aerial lifts, cranes and more. Auxiliary hydraulics are also easily added.
The RCT150’s 275-hp Cat Tier 4 Final engine provides more horsepower than other machines in its class. Rexroth hydraulic pumps are backed by Rexroth’s global service network. The model’s design offers unrestricted access to engine and hydraulic components for ease of service. The 28-inch-wide rubber tracks yield ground pressure of just 4.0 psi when loaded. Powerful, two-speed track drives reach travel speeds of 4.1 mph in low and 6.8 mph in high.
The RCT150’s cabin features heat and air-conditioning, as well as a fold-up front window that doubles as an escape path. The high-backed, air-ride suspension seat is heated and has adjustable arm rests. A single joystick controls the machine, and a color display panel keeps operators alert to engine performance and machine vitals.
