Milwaukee Tool recently introduced the new MX Fuel backpack blower, a tool designed for demanding outdoor cleanup applications with a high blowing force and enhanced control. The blower also aims to eliminate the noise levels, emissions and maintenance associated with gas-powered solutions.

“Through user research, we gained valuable insight into the varying needs of professional users, which ultimately drove the design of this blower,” said Katy Stringfield, senior product manager. “By prioritizing adaptability and power, Milwaukee delivers a solution that enables professionals to tailor the backpack blower to their performance and runtime needs — helping them work more efficiently.”

The MX Fuel backpack blower utilizes MX Fuel technology to deliver 800 cfm, 190 mph and 30 newtons of blowing force. Operating at a low noise level of 64 dB(A), this blower meets emerging local noise ordinance requirements, making it an option for use in noise-sensitive environments.

Equipped with an on-tool mode select, the MX Fuel backpack blower allows users to select from three distinct mode settings, optimizing performance and runtime based on their application needs. These performance modes can be selected by the operator on the tool or managed and locked remotely through the One-Key app from a paired device. In addition to performance management, One-Key compatibility enables usage and location tracking, inventory visibility and enhanced security features such as remote lockout — all accessible via mobile device or computer.

The MX Fuel was designed to deliver consistent performance across all performance modes. When paired with an MX Fuel RedLithium Forge HD12.0 battery, the blower delivers 20 minutes of trigger time at 800 cfm, 190 mph and 30 newtons of blowing force in high mode. Medium mode provides 30 minutes of runtime at 700 cfm, 165 mph and 23 newtons. Low mode extends runtime to 45 minutes at 600 cfm, 145 mph and 17 newtons. While these figures reflect trigger time at continuous full throttle, actual in application working time can extend longer due to operators feathering the trigger for control or walking between locations where a gas-powered blower would still be idling.

The backpack blower features a fully adjustable harness, telescoping nozzle and adjustable handle position allowing the user to optimize the fit to their unique needs and enhance control. As part of the growing MX Fuel Equipment System, the MX Fuel backpack blower joins a lineup of 25-plus products, all compatible with the same MX Fuel batteries.
