Mean Green Products (Mean Green Mowers) has partnered with Kobi Company to create autonomous mowers.
The electric zero-turn robotic mower will make its debut at the Mean Green Mowers’ booth (# 11080) at GIE+EXPO show in Louisville, Ky. The 74-inch EVO concept autonomous mower will be display at Mean Green Mowers’ indoor booth. Demonstrations featuring the 48-inch NXR autonomous mower will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 17-18 at the Mean Green outdoor demo area #6014D.
Mean Green and Kobi are offering an autonomous commercial electric zero-turn mower with a return on investment measured in months instead of years. A typical landscape crew of two workers can now be reduced to one and get the same (or more) work done in a day. The fuel and maintenance savings of the Mean Green electric mower and the labor cost savings of the Kobi autonomous system can add up to savings of $20-30/hr, the company reported.
Certification with the new ANSI/OPEI 60335-2-107-2019 robotics standards is pending. Mean Green Mowers says testing will continue through 2020 with plans of production of units by 2021.
