McHale Landscape Design—a high-end residential design/build landscape contractor operating in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia markets—acquired Green Gardens. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
For more than 50 years, Green Gardens has offered residential landscape and maintenance services to clients in northwest D.C., Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac and McLean, Va., as well as multiple estates in upper Montgomery and Frederick counties.
A definitive purchase agreement was finalized in September 2018.

The partnership boosts McHale’s high-end residential design-build locations to five.
