RALEIGH, N.C.—Kim Lewey, co-owner of Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, has been named one of the winners of the 2013 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards in the “Up to $1 million in annual sales revenue” category. This award from Enterprising Women magazine honors women business owners who have demonstrated that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities.

The 11th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration will be held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from Wednesday, April 3 through Thursday, April 4. The Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Gala Dinner will commence April 4, where the winners and honorable mention recipients will be celebrated for their achievements. Along with the dinner ceremony, Enterprising Women magazine will feature the winners in its special May 2013 commemorative awards issue.

“It is an honor to be recognized alongside so many strong and innovative women entrepreneurs across the country and throughout the world,” says Lewey. “Enterprising Women gives a voice to the women who are dedicated to mentoring others and creating jobs and economic growth, which are goals we strive to achieve every day at Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare.”

Lewey is president-elect of the 2012-2013 board of directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater Raleigh chapter, an ambassador for Soroptimist International of Raleigh and and advisory board member and mentor for I’m A Great Child Worldwide.

As a part of her extensive community service and charitable activities, she provides lawn maintenance services pro bono for the offices of Triangle Family Services, and recently joined the Circle of Red for the American Heart Association to help raise awareness of cardiovascular diseases, particularly among women.
