Landscape Workshop, a full-service ground management company and No. 35 on the 2023 LM150 list, recently completed the acquisition of Green Simple Landscape Management, which expands the company’s presence in the Atlanta Perimeter. The company also acquired the commercial maintenance division of Tree of Life Landscaping in Gulf Shores, Ala.

“I see this acquisition as an opportunity for our clients at Green Simple to receive superior services and support,” said Wesley Michielsen, owner of Green Simple. “I am confident that our team will thrive, expanding their professional possibilities and honing their skills under the seasoned leadership at Landscape Workshop.”

These acquisitions are part of Landscape Workshop’s expansion strategy and build on the presence and route density already established in these two already-serviced territories.

“We are proud to announce the acquisition of these two companies, which marks a strategic expansion of our services,“ said J.T. Price, CEO of Landscape Workshop. “These companies will integrate smoothly with our existing branches, enhancing our capabilities in the regions we Landscape Workshop already serve. This expansion increases our resources, notably our fleet and on-site presence. As always, we extend a warm welcome to the newly joined customers and team.”

Both the Green Simple Team and Tree of Life’s maintenance team will join Landscape Workshop.

“While Tree of Life will continue to run its construction and installation services, we believe our valued clients will greatly benefit from the expanded maintenance expertise offered by LW’s seasoned team. LW holds an outstanding reputation here across the Gulf Coast, we are confident that this merger will provide unmatched services and support to our team and clients,” said Baxter Mayfield, owner of Tree of Life Landscaping.

Stuart Maxey and Butler Sparks of Bradley served as Landscape Workshop’s legal counsel on these transactions. Green Simple Landscape Management was represented by Putnam C. Smith of Lipscomb Johnson and Tree of Life Landscaping Inc. was represented by Bobby J. Hornsby of Hornsby & Hornsby, Attorneys at Law.

The move builds on Landscape Workshop’s growth over the past few years with additions of Liberty Land Management Group in FloridaArtisan Landscape Group in Tennessee, Meliora Landscape Group in Louisiana, Martin Landscape in Georgia, Louisiana Landscape Specialty and Solid Ground Landscape Services of Atlanta, Ga.
