
Eight U.S. landscape companies were honored with Jeffrey Scott’s 2015 Mighty Oak award. These awards were announced at the consultant’s Leader’s Edge peer group meetings held across the U.S. and Canada.
Criteria for winning the award include serving as a positive example to others in the profession; working with the highest levels of integrity, ethics and accountability; achieving significant growth benchmarks; contributing to the advancement of the landscape industry; and engaging in continual personal and professional development.
The following companies and their owners received Mighty Oak awards:
- John DeLisle of Grasshopper Gardens in Gansevoort, N.Y.;
- Tom Schray of Creative Landscapes in Allentown, Pa.;
- Brent Nienhuis of Blue Ridge Landscaping in Holland, Mich.;
- Leigh Townsend of J.W. Townsend Landscapes in Charlottesville, Va.;
- Peg and Scott Bormann of Creative Landscaping in Berrien Springs, Mich.;
- Seth Kehne of Lawn Butler in Knoxville, Tenn.;
- Stephen Evans of Turf Unlimited in Tyngsborough, Mass.; and
- Paul Reder of Reder Landscaping in Midland, Mich.
