JCB participates in ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

JCB’s Savannah-area employees recently took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) research.

Those who donated were drenched by five JCB backhoes filled with icy water. The team decided to take part in the challenge in support of the company’s Vice President of Sales Dallas Reeves, who has been directly affected by the disease.

“My grandfather passed away from ALS,” he said. “As a result, my family and I have witnessed the painful realities of this disease first-hand. I truly appreciate JCB for taking on this cause and supporting ALS sufferers and their families in the search for a cure.”

Reeves also nominated JCB dealers to take the challenge and encouraged other JCB companies to spread awareness.

“I also want to see JCB as a global organization embrace this and see how many participants we can get to support the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and eradicate this disease,” he said.
