Vermeer Corp., based in Pella, Iowa, has named third-generation family member Jason Andringa as the next president and chief executive officer, effective Nov. 1, 2015.
Andringa is currently president of environmental and forage solutions at Vermeer. On Nov. 1 he will assume the role of president and COO to help prepare for his transition to CEO.
Second-generation family member Mary Andringa, current president and CEO of Vermeer, is looking forward to preparing Jason Andringa for his transition.
“I look forward to working closely with Jason this coming year to prepare him for the transition to CEO in Nov. 2015,” she said. “As an entire family, we are proud to announce the third-generation leadership who we know with confidence can propel us to new heights.”
Mary Andringa will assume the role of CEO and chair of the board on Nov. 1 and will transition exclusively to chair of the board on Nov. 1, 2015.
Prior to joining Vermeer in 2005, Jason Andringa worked as a staff engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He currently serves on the board of directors for Raven Industries, on the board of advisers for Camcraft and on the board of trustees for The Nature Conservancy of Iowa.
