ISS Group recently sold its California Grounds Control division to landscape professional and former employee Dan Blumel, The Santa Clarita (Calif.) Valley Signal reports.
Blumel, who owns and operates Four Seasons Landscape and Property Services, sold his former landscape company to Sanitors in 2000 and stayed on board for 12 years to manage daily operations. ISS acquired Sanitors in 2007 and launched Grounds Control.
“Since starting in this business 26 years ago our employees and clients have always been like family,” Blumel said. “It is very rewarding to have us all together again under a local operation.”
