The company stated that it’s urgent to address America’s residential water crisis. Over the past few decades, water utility bills have increased at almost twice the rate of inflation. Irrigreen offers relief for homeowners by using up to 50 percent less water than traditional irrigation systems, totaling 400 million gallons of water saved for its customers to date. Irrigreen 3.0 is the culmination of the effort to rethink big challenges in residential irrigation, with every component of Irrigreen’s proprietary sprinkler head designed with a focus on precision, according to the company. Live, localized weather data connects to Irrigreen’s app, further optimizing water usage and giving homeowners and landscapers a sustainable solution for modern outdoor living.

By digitally “printing” water where it’s needed, Irrigreen eliminates muddy patches, brown spots and wasteful overspray onto sidewalks and driveways. Sprinkler 3 builds on Irrigreen’s technology with new features to enhance performance, durability and ease of use, including:
- Auto-Clean: a patent-pending, self-cleaning feature that aims to improve water pressure and extends product life by reducing sediment buildup, especially in sandy soil.
- New water pressure sensing architecture that enables more accurate flow readings and dynamic adjustments.
- Enhanced precision with 16 water streams or “printer ports,” delivering more accurate water placement and smoother coverage.
- Compact, low-profile design that requires less deep trenching — up to 1 foot shallower than previous versions.
- Upgraded riser mechanics with incredibly smooth retraction, decreasing any damage from lawn mowers and simplifying part replacement.
- Reinvented, modular design with fewer components, making head replacement and repairs faster, easier and less expensive.
Sprinkler 3 is now manufactured in the United States. By investing in engineering and design, Irrigreen brought production home without increasing costs for consumers.
This strategic shift was also a key driver in Irrigreen’s recent $19 million Series A funding round, as investors prioritize future-ready hardware and domestic production strategies.
