The Irrigation Association’s (IA’s) Smart Irrigation Month Committee named the winners of its 2014 Smart Marketing Contest, recognizing companies that demonstrate outstanding efforts to promote Smart Irrigation Month.
This year’s contest winners were selected by a panel of judges based on messaging, quality, creativity and implementation of Smart Irrigation Month messaging in five categories:
- Small Dealer/Distributor: Irrigation-Mart (Ruston, La.)
- Large Dealer/Distributor: CPS Distributors (Westminster, Colo.)
- Small Manufacturer: DIG Corp. (Vista, Calif.)
- Large Manufacturer: Hunter Industries (San Marcos, Calif.)

IA designated July as Smart Irrigation Month in 2005 to promote efficient watering practices, technologically advanced irrigation products and water conservation. The industry-wide initiative encourages irrigation professionals and water providers to promote water efficiency to business partners, customers and their community.
2014 winners will be recognized at the Smart Irrigation Month Briefing, held Nov. 19 from 12 p.m. – 12:45 p.m., at the Irrigation Show & Education Conference in Phoenix.
