Hunter helps promote Smart Irrigation Month

Hunter Industries is celebrating Smart Irrigation Month—the Irrigation Association’s initiative to increase the public’s awareness of the value of water-use efficiency—by encouraging landscape and irrigation professionals to focus on water conservation.

Visitors to a designated page on the company’s web site offers irrigation professionals an opportunity to win a free trip to the 2013 Irrigation Association show in Austin, Texas, if they share how they are celebrating Smart Irrigation Month.

They also may join a discussion about smart irrigation and share photos of their best conservation-focused projects.

The company’s water-saving products are showcased, along with a new video that provides an in-depth look at retrofitting with water saving products and practices and demonstrates the Hunter Water Savings Calculator.

“[The overall goal of the promotion is to] get as many people talking about Smart Irrigation Month as possible,” said Hunter Industries Marketing Manager Troy Leezy. “The more we can get people talking and thinking about water conservation, the better off we’ll be from both an environmental and business standpoint.”

No purchase is necessary to participate, the company said, and all irrigation and landscape professionals are encouraged to join the conversation.
