FX Luminaire introduced the new low-voltage NL up/down sconce, engineered to bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor lighting applications and providing a high-performance, bidirectional solution for lighting designers. At 3.2 inches wide, the versatile fixture is ideal for standard 4-inch wooden posts, as well as rafters, metal beams and stone columns. The NL up/down sconce provides ambient lighting, framing, transition points, perimeter lighting and accenting. Its dual configuration creates more dynamic effects than the original NL downlight.

“Usually, end users want their yard-facing wall sconces to integrate with the rest of their outdoor lighting system, and this is where the NL up/down sconce has the advantage,” Sarah Auyeung, associate product manager for FX Luminaire, said. “Other low-voltage outdoor lighting providers do not have the level of compatibility with indoor systems that we can achieve with smart home integration.”

The fixture is compatible with Luxor technology for zoning, dimming and color, with separate control of the up and down configurations for creative design flexibility. The NL accommodates 3, 6 or 9 LED boards, as well as ZDC boards. It is available in a range of finishes for maximum design flexibility.

The fixture is available in die-cast aluminum or brass and natural, powder coat or antique brass/copper finishes. It features Cree integrated LEDs with color temperature filters.
