FMC, Arysta sign licensing agreement for fungicide, herbicide

|

fmc-corp-logoArysta LifeScience North America and FMC Corp. signed an exclusive licensing agreement in the U.S. and Canada, in which FMC will develop, market and sell two Arysta LifeScience turf and ornamental (T&O) products: DISARM Fungicide and XONERATE Herbicide.

The agreement went into effect Aug. 12, though the companies did not disclose its financial terms.

The DISARM Fungicide line, containing the active ingredient fluoxastrobin, includes four formulations that are tailored to regional climate, disease history and turfgrass varieties. DISARM can be used alone or in chlorothalonil-based or DMI-based premixes. XONERATE, containing amicarbazone, is a postemergent herbicide, representing new turfgrass chemistry for the control of Poa annua.

“We have built substantial markets for these important T&O products over the last few years,” said Amy Yoder, business unit head of Arysta LifeScience. “Licensing the sales, marketing and distribution of DISARM and XONERATE will allow these T&O products to grow at a faster rate and allow us to focus on our growing portfolio of agricultural crop protection products.”

FMC Agricultural Solutions President Mark Douglas added, “This exclusive agreement unites two complementary product lines, expanding FMC Professional Solutions’ T&O portfolio and further demonstrating our commitment to grow beyond agriculture to invest in the professional services markets.”
