Fisher Engineering released two new stainless steel products—the Fisher HDX straight blade snow plow and the STEEL-CASTER hopper spreader.
The HDX snow plow features and adjustable attack angle that can be set to 55 degrees for unpaved or gravel surfaces and for scooping heavy snow; 75 degrees for plowing paved surfaces and asphalt and for scraping up ice and hard packed snow; or 65 degrees for all-around plowing surfaces and conditions.
The snow plow’s articulating A-frame allows for a cleaner scrape, and the integrated leaf spring makes it easier for the operator to line up the truck during mounting, according to Fisher.
The HDX snow plow comes in 8- and 9-foot blade widths and features a stainless steel moldboard, four trip springs and eight vertical ribs. It also has more than a dozen optional accessories.
The STEEL-CASTER is offered in six sizes: 7′ 1.5 cu. yd., 8′ 2 cu. yd., 9′ 3 cu. yd., 9′ 4.5 cu. yd., 10′ 4.5 cu. yd., and 10′ 6 cu. yd. models.
Each spreader—powered by two instant-start,12-volt electric motors—features a shutter deflector for one-side spreading operation and to prevent materials from being spread to unintended areas. In addition, the spinner motor is sealed inside a weather-resistant housing that protects it from corrosion. Gas and hydraulic options also are available.
Electric models feature an enhanced, dual variable-speed control that allows operators to match material delivery and spread patterns to conditions. The control features four standard accessory buttons, a blast button and digital self-diagnostics to alert the operator when the hopper is empty or when adjustments are needed.
