Exmark redesigned one of its wide-area walk-behind mowers, the Turf Tracer S-Series. The 2015 model is designed to deliver increased overall durability, serviceability and ease-of-use.

The updates to the Turf Tracer S-Series were based on feedback received by customers as well as comprehensive evaluation in the Exmark test lab, said Exmark Product Manager Lloyd von Scheliha.

“The Turf Tracer S-Series is a workhorse mower in many of our customers’ fleets. They rely on its durability, maneuverability and versatility to be profitable, and it’s a machine many customers are very comfortable with. It was clear we had a very good product already, but we saw a number of opportunities to further raise the bar,” von Scheliha said.

Exmark added an electric clutch to the mower to simplify the deck drive system and increase its durability.

The simplified design reduces maintenance, with easier belt changes due to a revised belt shield design. The mower also has hydraulic hoses on the model to maximize cooling and keep the mower cleaner overall.

A new structure for the engine deck and tank support was developed to lower the machine’s center of gravity. The new mower uses a more durable discharge chute and resistant metal in the front deck height adjusters. In addition, an hour meter is standard on all Turf Tracer S-Series models to help landscape maintenance professionals more accurately track maintenance intervals.

A choice of 36-, 48- or 52-inch UltraCut Series 3 cutting decks are available with the new Turf Tracer S-Series. This 5-inch deep, fully-welded deck design delivers Exmark’s signature cut quality, combined with the durability of the company’s sealed, greaseless spindles and heavy-duty 7-gauge steel deck reinforcements.

Engine options that are available for the 2015 Turf Tracer S-Series mower include the Kohler PCV680 EFI-Propane powerplant, which can save landscape professionals more than 40 percent on fuel expenditures, with reduced emissions that allow the model to be sold and operated in California. In addition, the Turf Tracer S-Series is available with a variety of Kawasaki engine options, two of which are CARB compliant.
