Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply opened its first New York location on Long Island, N.Y., earlier this month.
“The continued growth and expansion of this company is just one example of the strength a family-owned company can have,” said Phil Kerchner, regional manager for Ewing’s northeast/mid-Atlantic region. “We’re here to serve our customers in New York and the rest of the northeast/mid-Atlantic region and we’re really excited to introduce new customers to Ewing.”
Located in Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Ewing Ronkonkoma will service a variety of green industry professionals and will carry irrigation supplies, fertilizer and chemicals, tools and accessories, golf course products, sports field materials and more.
Richard Wells is the store’s manager. Originally from Arizona, where Ewing is headquartered, Wells started working for Ewing three years ago.
“I’m excited to take a store from nothing but concrete and empty shelves and help turn it into the full Ewing experience for our customers here in New York,” Wells said. “While this is an entirely new market for Ewing and for me, the job that I’m doing isn’t much different. It’s all about serving our customers and helping them grow their businesses. That’s why we’re here, and that’s what I show up to work every day to do.”
Ewing Ronkonkoma is the third location Ewing has opened in the northeast/mid-Atlantic Region this year. Ewing West Berlin in New Jersey and Ewing Gaithersburg in Maryland opened in late June and early July, respectively.
