Envu is strengthening its area sales manager team with three new hires, aiming to provide the company’s golf and lawn care customers with tailored support for their business needs. Pat Quinlan, Jay Long and Zak Peterson, a certified sports field manager (CSFM), bring more than 50 years of combined expertise in the lawn, golf and sports turf industries to Envu.

“Envu is passionate about bringing proven industry talent on board to deliver on our promise of customer first,” said Mark Schneid, head of North America, Envu. “Pat, Jay and Zak will be in the trenches collaborating with our customers to better understand and help solve their day-to-day challenges while bringing insights to our R&D teams to drive future innovations for the turfgrass industry.”

Quinlan joins the Northern Region Turf and Ornamentals Envu team covering northern New Jersey and eastern New York. He served as the golf course superintendent at Fairmount Country Club in northern New Jersey prior to joining Envu. With more than 20 years of experience as a superintendent, Quinlan prides himself in providing top-notch playing conditions for his membership as well as mentoring and developing his maintenance staff, according to the company.

Long will support Envu customers in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. Prior to joining Envu, Long served as the superintendent of golf for the Mercer County Park Commission where he managed the agronomic and operational management of five 18-hole golf courses. The Staten Island, N.Y. native has been a golf course superintendent for nearly 30 years. Long was also an adjunct professor in the horticultural department at Mercer County Community College and said he prides himself with providing mentorship and professional guidance to students pursuing careers in turf management.

Peterson will serve Illinois and Indiana Envu customers. Before joining Envu, Peterson served as the Midwest regional sales manager for Arborjet | Ecologel and managed plant health products covering a 13-state geography. He served as the grounds manager for MLB’s Milwaukee Brewers where he supervised a crew of 45 and developed a customized spray program for American Family Field.
