Echo added to its X Series with the SRM-3020 trimmer, the SRM-3020T high-torque trimmer and the SRM-3020U brushcutter.

The new handheld tools are all designed to cut thick grass, heavy weeds and small saplings, according to the company.

“The introduction of the SRM-3020 once again demonstrates Echo’s commitment to providing the best quality and highest durability products for professional users,” said Wayne Thomsen, vice president, marketing and aftermarket. “In a league of its own with category-leading engine performance, the SRM-3020 sets a new industry benchmark.”

The trimmers and brushcutter offer 1.8-hp two-stroke engine performance, along with a 20-inch cutting swath.

Other features include a large pleated paper air filter and foam prefilter, chrome cylinder plating, a two-ring piston and exceptional hot restart ability due to its bellow-type intake, Echo said. All models also have a flex cable drive for the optimal performance and low vibration.

The gear ratio for the SRM-3020 trimmer and SRM-3020U brushcutter is 1.62:1, while the high-torque SRM-3020T uses a 2.07:1 gear ratio for heavier duty applications.

Each model uses a Speed-Feed 450 trimmer head and is covered by a two-year commercial or five-year consumer warranty.
