The 100 SP is our top of line the four-wheel stance brush type spreader with a stainless steel box. It spreads a 32-34” wide pattern and has a capacity of 10.5 cubic ft. The 100SP has a 10 HP Honda commercial engine and a Tuff Torque hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse speeds up to 5 mph. The transmission can be engaged or disengaged if you ever need to move the unit by hand. It also comes standard with a parking brake.
The unit is propelled by the engine and transmission, but the belt and brush are tied to ground speed so if you go 2,3 or 4 miles per hour you will always put down the same amount you set the output for. This makes the spread very uniform and reduces waste and cleanup as it spreads no more than the width of the tires so if you are spreading along a walk way or drive way just run the tire right at the edge and there will be little or no clean up required. The spreader has a clutch system so when you back the unit up you don’t have to shut it off because it will not spread in reverse. It is designed this way, so you do not double spread. Our units are built to carry the weight of sand (1,000 pounds) so if you are spreading light material like compost you could increase the capacity by adding our light material sides which almost double the capacity. The 100SP will spread wet or dry material such as sand, compost soil blends and calcined clay.
