DotDay, a new brand focused on modern, job-ready landscape fabrics, began the U.S. launch of its 3.2-ounce woven polypropylene “Shield” and 5-ounce woven needle-punched “XBar” weed-barrier lines. Designed with pro landscapers, nurseries and contractors in mind, both lines emphasize reliable weed suppression, breathability for plant health and the durability needed for long-term performance in real-world landscaping conditions, according to the company.

Product details include:

  • DotDay Shield (3.2-ounce woven PP): A balanced strength-to-weight weed-barrier fabric for beds, paths and nursery rows. Features thicker, high-visibility planting lines with 12-inch guides for straight cuts and accurate alignment. Constructed from 100-percent woven virgin polypropylene, engineered for air/water permeability while resisting fray at cut lines.
  • DotDay XBar (5-ounce dual-layer woven plus needle-punched capped fabric): A heavy-duty landscape weed-barrier with dual-layer construction combining woven polypropylene and a needle-punched layer for added strength and controlled permeability. XBar is designed for demanding applications, from busy walkways to long planting stretches and the borders around stone or concrete — delivering increased puncture and tear resistance while still letting water drain and soil breathe.
  • Common features: UV-stabilized construction for long-term outdoor use; 12-inch high-visibility planting lines for faster layout and alignment; clear roll markings and labeling for quick SKU identification; multiple roll sizes (3 feet by 100 feet, 4 feet by 250 feet, 6 feet by 300 feet); standard 3-inch core for compatibility with common roll-handling equipment; packaging designed for easy handling and efficient jobsite deployment; and step-by-step install guides provided with every roll to support best practices on site.

“DotDay’s Shield and XBar are not just weed barrier fabrics — they’re professional-grade tools built to outlast and outperform,” said Rakshit Manga, founder of DotDay. “We engineered them to cut cleanly without fray, stand up to heavy use and still allow soil to breathe. The goal is simple: give landscapers and growers a fabric that saves time, reduces maintenance and delivers consistent results project after project.”

DotDay Shield and XBar are now available through U.S. distributors and online channels.
