The Davey Tree Expert Co. and the U.S. Forest Service signed a research, service and education partnership.
The agreement will coordinate research on forest assessment, expand delivery of tree science, further youth education and strengthen connections between communities and their trees, according to Davey.
Pat Covey, Davey COO and president of U.S. operations, and USFS Chief Thomas Tidwell signed a memorandum of understanding that commemorates the 10-year partnership.
The two organizations helped develop i-Tree, a software program designed to help urban natural resource managers and the public better understand the benefits trees provide and to promote a greater understanding of the role trees play in our environment.
