The Davey Tree Expert Co. promoted Jed Day to vice president and general manager in the residential and commercial service line, western operations.
In this new role, Day will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities for residential western operations.
“Jed has a wealth of experience at Davey and within the Green Industry,” COO Pat Covey said. “This experience, combined with his dedication toward the company and industry, will be a valuable tool to help Davey to reach its strategic goals.”
With more than 32 years of experience at Davey, Day most recently served as vice president of western operations for residential services. Moreover, he is a past board member of The Park People, Trees For Houston, the Houston Area Urban Forestry Council and Davey’s president’s council. Day holds a Bachelor of Science degree in urban forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences.
