The Davey Tree Expert Co. promoted Dan Joy to executive vice president and general manager of commercial landscape services, broadening his role to oversee Davey’s operations support group. The group includes safety, equipment, purchasing and the recruiting and development functions.
Joy has more than 38 years of experience in the Green Industry. He has worked in multiple areas of Davey, starting in the utility division before transitioning to the residential division and then the commercial landscape management division. He also has received some of the company’s awards, including three “Outstanding Manager” awards and one “Best of Davey Leadership” award. He is a past member of Davey’s President’s Council.
“Dan is a seasoned and successful executive who possesses the skills necessary to advance these extremely important support functions,” said Karl Warnke, Davey’s chairman, president and CEO. “His drive and many years of field experience will serve him well in this position.”
