Abbey White, owner of Crosstown Tree Service, shakes hands with SavATree president Daniel van Starrenberg after the two companies agreed on a merger.

SavATree, headquartered in Bedford Hills, N.Y., merged with Crosstown Tree Service of Chicago. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“After much consideration, I decided to merge with SavATree because they share our core values and emphasis on quality service,” said Abby White, owner of Crosstown Tree Service. “We know SavATree’s highly trained team cares about their clients and will work with our dedicated team to maintain our high standards for tree care.”

SavATree ranked No. 16 on the 2015 LM150 list of the green industry’s top revenue-generating firms with revenue of $85,000,000 in 2014. The company provides tree, shrub and lawn care services and serves locations across Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, New Hampshire, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C. The move expands SavATree’s market share in the Midwest.

Crosstown Tree Service is a family-owned and -operated business serving the Chicago area since 1995. The business is accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). The company will continue to serve its clients, some of whom have been with the company since White’s father, Amos Poole, founded it in 1995, White said.

“Our customers deserve the best and this merger will provide expansive service options and seamless, quality care,” White said, citing access to more comprehensive services and technical developments.
