Corona welcomes, promotes and bids farewell to employees

CoronaLogoCorona, a manufacturer of landscaping and gardening tools, made several personnel changes.

It promoted Armando Leon to sales manager for its agriculture and green channel and hired Lee Carbone as sales manager for its landscape, irrigation, agriculture and outdoor power equipment channels. Steve Facko, who spent 40 years in the industry and more than 25 years with Corona, will retire from his position as sales manager for the green markets.

In his new role, Leon will be responsible for growing a network of agricultural customers in major markets across the U.S. and select international markets. Prior to this promotion, Leon served 26 years at Corona, most recently as a quality assurance manager.

Carbone joins Corona with more than a decade of landscape and irrigation distribution channel experience. Beginning his career as an owner and operator of a boutique landscape lighting manufacturer, he eventually served as national sales manager for Halco Lighting Technologies’ specialty channels. In his new role at Corona, Carbone will oversee the landscape and irrigation, as well as agriculture and OPE channels, including managing of a network of dealers, distributors and independent landscape and irrigation sales representatives.

A key member of the Corona sales team since 1990, Facko started as an outside sales territory manager in Southern California, and held sales roles in California, the Western U.S., eventually moving into his current role as sales manager for the professional green markets in the U.S. and Canada. He will retire in December.
