Connecticut firm fined $280K in back wages

Ultimate Services Professional Grounds Management, located in Wolcott, Conn., was ordered to pay $280,000 in back wages to 80 workers and $20,000 for failing to hire U.S. workers and underpaying temporary foreign workers, The Hartford Courant reports.

The fines are a result of wage-and-hour violations committed by the company from 2011 to 2012.
