Jobber, a provider of home service software, revealed the speakers and agenda for the virtual event for home service professionals, Jobber Summit, on March 5.

Now in its fifth year, Jobber Summit is a destination for tens of thousands of home service pros, according to the company. Attendees can expect to connect with their community while gaining insights from industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs who have “seen it all” and are ready to share their proven strategies.

According to Jobber, this year’s Summit features a lineup of 16 speakers, including entrepreneur and digital marketing expert Gary Vaynerchuk (Gary Vee) and Codie Sanchez, a leading voice in investment strategies and small business success. Vaynerchuk grew up in a blue-collar household and now empowers entrepreneurs to think beyond traditional methods, embrace digital tools and scale their businesses effectively. He’ll sit down with Jobber CEO and co-founder Sam Pillar to discuss customer expectations, technology adoption, resiliency and empathy in leadership and marketing strategies while reflecting on their conversation at the inaugural Jobber Summit in 2021.

Sanchez has a notable connection to the home service industry as a co-owner of ResiBrands, a company that invests in and builds home service franchises. She emphasizes the profitability and opportunities in “boring businesses” like landscaping, plumbing, cleaning and more to her more than 6 million social media followers.

Jobber Summit attendees can customize their agendas from more than 10 in-demand sessions that fit their interests and align with their stage of business. Sessions are organized into three tracks:

  • Get Noticed: Learn how to attract more customers with effective marketing strategies.
  • Win Jobs: Unlock strategies to boost revenue and beat the competition.
  • Work Smarter: Discover how to streamline operations to run a more efficient business.

On average, those who attended Jobber Summit last year saw 28 percent business growth following the event, according to the company.

“Jobber Summit is more than just an event — it’s our response to the hard-working small business owners in home service that want proof they are partnered with the best,” said Pillar. “At Jobber, we’re committed to empowering entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to grow and succeed. This year’s Summit promises to inspire, educate and bring together a community that shares a passion for improvement and making a difference in their industries and communities.”

To make Jobber Summit more accessible to home service pros who manage full schedules, participants can attend Jobber Summit in the morning (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST) or in the evening (6 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST).

Nors appointed exclusive Volvo CE dealer for Manitoba

Nors Construction Equipment GW, a subsidiary of Portuguese-based private company Nors Group and a Volvo CE dealer in Canada, has acquired certain Volvo CE-related assets of Westcon Equipment and is appointed the exclusive Volvo CE dealer in the province of Manitoba. The deal closed on Jan. 1, 2025.

Westcon has sold and serviced Volvo CE equipment since 2004 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A new Nors location in Winnipeg will offer the full Volvo CE product range, including compact, electric, general production, compaction and rigid hauler products.

“I want to thank the employees at Westcon for their dedication over the past two decades,” said Scott Young, head of Region North America, Volvo CE. “Their commitment ensures that we will continue to deliver quality products and responsive service to our customers across Manitoba as this new chapter begins with Nors.”

Nors companies sell and service construction, infrastructure, mining, forestry and agricultural equipment, trucks, buses and marine and industrial engines in a total of 17 countries on four continents. Nors acquired Strongco Corporation in March of 2020 for its first entry into the Canadian market. Nors continued its growth in the Canadian market through its acquisition of Great West Equipment in March 2024.

“With so many years of experience in the construction equipment industries, we’re confident that we will be able to leverage all the great work done so far by Westcon,” said Tomás Jervell, president and Group CEO of Nors. “This step will also strengthen our presence in Canada, and we expect to deliver very positive outcomes for all our stakeholders. It’s a significant milestone for the group, and we’re excited for this new chapter.”

Veseris opens new warehouse in Montreal

Veseris, a distributor in pest control and vegetation management and adjacent industries, opened its new Montreal ProCenter and warehouse. The addition of the Montreal ProCenter builds on Veseris’ acquisition of Integrated Pest Supplies Ltd. in Vancouver last year and its established locations in Calgary and the greater Toronto market. With this expansion, Veseris has doubled its Canadian reach, providing national coverage from coast to coast.

“For years, Veseris has supported Quebec customers without a physical presence, and the addition of a local ProCenter and warehouse ensures we can now meet their needs faster and more efficiently than ever before,” said Ken Bradley, CEO of Veseris. “With this new facility, Veseris strengthens its commitment to delivering value and convenience to professionals across Canada.”

Located at 8473 Ave., Albert-Louis-Van-Houtte, the Montreal ProCenter offers:

  • Local Warehousing: Faster, more efficient fulfillment for Quebec customers.
  • Walk-In Convenience: Easy access to products and personalized support.
  • Enhanced Logistics: Strengthened capabilities for suppliers.

“Having a local presence in Montreal allows us to provide the high-quality service and support our customers expect while creating opportunities for our supplier partners,” said Jon Froese, regional director, Canada. “This expansion reinforces Veseris’ role as the preferred choice for customers and suppliers across the country.”
