Husqvarna partners with Liverpool Football Club

Husqvarna has partnered with the Liverpool Football Club on a multi-year global agreement that will make Husqvarna the club’s official groundskeeping partner.

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership between Liverpool FC and Husqvarna, two premium market leaders united by their shared values and innovative approach,” said Ben Latty, chief commercial officer at LFC. “We have developed ambitious commercial targets to attract the best brands that fit with Liverpool Football Club, and that can also help drive further success on the pitch. We look forward to working closely with them to ensure our facilities continue to be maintained to the highest possible standards.”

Since 2021, LFC has been using Husqvarna robotic mowers to maintain the conditions of the green spaces at AXA Training Centre and AXA Melwood Training Centre, supporting the grounds management team. Through this partnership, Husqvarna’s equipment will be more deeply integrated into LFC’s groundskeeping teams’ daily routines and pitch upkeep.

Jobber looking for green industry speakers

The Jobber Summit an annual, free online event where home service business owners — including the green industry — can connect with their community and get the expert advice they need to launch, grow or strengthen their business is looking for speakers from home service, business or entrepreneurial perspectives to share advice and is accepting applications from Aug. 3-23.

Jobber Summit sessions come in three formats: presentations (one speaker presenting), fireside chats (interview-style with a moderator asking a speaker questions) and panels (up to three speakers facilitated by a moderator).

Attendees are small business owners and teams in the home service industry such as contractors, landscapers and more.

Envu U.S. named great place to work

Envu U.S. was recently named a Great Place To Work by the Great Place To Work organization. The certification is awarded based on employee feedback around three key factors: trust, pride and camaraderie. The global company has 272 employees in the United States.

Founded in 1992 by Robert Levering and Amy Lyman, Great Place To Work has evolved into a global authority on workplace culture. The organization is dedicated to shaping positive workplace cultures worldwide. The Great Place To Work survey was distributed to all employees in the U.S. According to their results, employees feel like they are treated well regardless of their race and gender and feel people care about each other in the workplace.

Additional findings from U.S.-based Envu employees include:

  • 91 percent say they can be themselves at work.
  • 89 percent feel good about the ways Envu contributes to the community.
  • 86 percent are pleased with development opportunities to further themselves professionally.

LawnStarter survey covers lawn care injury rates

LawnStarter recently surveyed over 1,000 U.S. homeowners about their history, habits and concerns related to lawn care accidents and injuries.

Over the past decade, 3.2 million U.S. residents have been injured while working on their lawns or in their gardens. Lawnmower accidents cost patients an average of $37,000 in medical treatment.

Key insights from the survey show:

  • 6.8 percent of U.S. homeowners are “very concerned,” and 17.6 percent are “somewhat concerned” about accidents or injuries from handling lawn care maintenance.
  • 21.2 percent have experienced a serious injury while working on the lawn and landscape, with 7.9 percent of those respondents seeking off-site medical treatment.
  • Most injuries resulted from picking up debris or heavy items (19.5 percent), kneeling, squatting or bending over (18.6 percent) and weed whacking (13.2 percent).
