TaskEasy, a start-up offering on-demand services, reports $10 million in snow removal and landscape services ordered through its website. TaskEasy has provided services in more than 4,400 cities across 50 states. “Part of our mission is to build strong communities and to fuel our local economies. Hitting this milepost and announcing over $10 million in jobs provided to our contractor network is truly an honor,” said Ken Davis, CEO of TaskEasy. “We are working hard to make home and yard maintenance as affordable and convenient as possible for our customers and are happy to see the positive response.”
Excel Industries, manufacturer of Hustler and BigDog Mowers, produced its 500,000 mower in October. The company held a celebration at its corporate headquarters in Hesston, Kansas, and presented a Hustler Raptor to a randomly selected employee. “We’ve been building ZTRs for a long time,” said Bob Mullet, Excel vice president. “It’s humbling and exciting to think about all the employees, customers and suppliers that have enabled us to reach the half-million mark.”
JCB produced its 100,000 compact excavator—a 24,250-lb., 10-ton 100C-1. It is one of 22 models in today’s JCB compact excavator range. JCB’s first compact excavator, an 801 model weighing 3,307 lbs. and 1.5 tons, rolled off the production line in 1989. By 1992, JCB’s compact excavator range had expanded to four models with 1,000 units produced annually. The company recently invested $22 million in manufacturing technology and new product development, according to JCB.
Enviroscapes, a full-service landscape firm based in Louisville, Ohio, recognized its staff for working safely in 2015 with a celebratory lunch, The Alliance Review reported. Team members took home $13,000 in prizes, including two Polaris 570 ATVs, two Stihl chainsaws and a 60-inch flat-screen television. More than 55 team members qualified by having no unexcused absences, no recordable injuries, no at-fault vehicle accidents and no workers’ compensation injuries.
