
Three green industry manufacturers participated in the Made in America Product Showcase at the White House July 17. The event was designed to celebrate American-made products and encourage other companies to manufacture their products in the U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence joined members of Congress and cabinet secretaries in attending the event.
- Ditch Witch, a Charles Machine Works company based in Perry, represented the state of Oklahoma by presenting a Ditch Witch JT20 horizontal directional drill.
- Grasshopper, a manufacturer of zero-turn mowers in Moundridge, represented the state of Kansas at this event. A Grasshopper mower, which is used by White House groundskeepers, was on display at the event.
- Caterpillar represented the state of Illinois by showcasing a 966M Wheel Loader. The machine was built in Aurora, Ill.
Case Construction Equipment and CNH Industrial donated the use of a skid-steer to the 9th annual Victory Garden Blitz in the Greater Milwaukee area. This year, more than 300 volunteers installed 514 gardens. Since the project’s inception in 2009, volunteers have installed more than 3,500 gardens in communities throughout Milwaukee.
