This small aloe from Monrovia has Christmas holiday-like colors of bright red trim on deep-green leaves with dark red spots down the center and along the leaf margin. It produces orange and pink flowers in the fall. Landscape uses include small-scale groundcover, placements in rock gardens or containers. As a succulent, aloe only needs occasional irrigation. It should be divided every two to three years in early spring. It is hardy in zones 8-11.
