Briggs & Stratton releases Vanguard engine series

Briggs & Stratton released its Vanguard 810cc EFI engine series. The engines combine the increased fuel efficiency of a closed-loop electronic fuel injection system with the increased capability of an 810cc engine.

They are available in 24, 26 or 28 gross horsepower and have up to 25 percent better fuel economy compared to the 810cc Vanguard carbureted engine, the company said.

The engines also offer diagnostic features to eliminate downtime and optimize performance, including in-field blink codes, a Tiny Scan reader and a cable for obtaining engine data through a computer.
