Bobyard unveils the upcoming release of Estimate Table, an enhancement to its estimating workflow that allows contractors to complete the entire bidding process within Bobyard, from takeoff through proposal.
The new functionality eliminates the need to export quantities into spreadsheets or third-party estimating tools by enabling cost calculations directly within Bobyard’s Estimate Table.
“This update removes one of the biggest bottlenecks in the estimating workflow. Estimators can now seamlessly store pricing and assembly data and apply it directly to an estimate after completing a takeoff in Bobyard,” said Michael Ding, CEO at Bobyard. “The result is faster bid turnaround, greater accuracy and a more scalable process for growing the business.”
The key capabilities of Estimate Table include:
- End-to-end estimating in one platform, allowing users to calculate costs and build proposals without leaving the platform.
- Rich legend data integration. All takeoff details, including schedule information, quantities, and groupings, will automatically carry over into the Estimate Table, reducing rework and maintaining consistency throughout the bid.
- Phase-based organization. Estimators can group materials by project phase using polygon drawing, enabling clearer scope breakdowns and more professional structured proposals.
- Assembly templates and cost database. Reusable assemblies allow teams to apply bundled labor, material and cost data across multiple materials at once. A centralized cost database supports standardization and easier updates.
- Custom table for additional costs. Users can add general conditions, miscellaneous costs and other non-measured items directly into the Estimate Table, ensuring complete and accurate bids.
Estimate Table represents Bobyard’s continued investment in simplifying preconstruction workflows and reducing friction between measurement and pricing.
