Bob-Cat intros commercial walk-behind mower

|

Bob-Cat introduced a 21-inch commercial walk-behind mower at GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 18-20. The company will offer two three-speed, self-propelled models: one with zone starting and one with a blade brake clutch, which lets the operator pick up debris or empty the grass catcher without stopping the engine.

“Professional landscapers who need a 21-inch walk-behind mower for regular mowing, not just the occasional trim, will appreciate the rugged new Bob-Cat 21-inch commercial unit,” said Bob-Cat product manager Ron Scheffler. “In addition to its durability and quality of cut, it is also very serviceable, thanks to easy access to components and replaceable tires.”

The mower’s die-cast aluminum, high-vacuum decks are designed to maximize airflow and grass lift and improve the quality of cut. A high-lift Marbain steel blade, 2.5-bushel nylon mesh grass catcher with dust liner and mulch plug are standard.

It’s powered by a 179cc Kawasaki FJ180V KAI Series engine. A three-speed rear wheel drive transmission features steel cut gears, an internal spring clutch and full ball bearing construction.

The height-of-cut ranges from 1-4 inches in half-inch increments, and its ground speed in third gear is 4.1 mph.
