Rick Wilmath, a landscape contractor, released an ebook titled “Bloomjam.”
In the ebook, Wilmath shows landscapers how to “create colorful designs using flowering annuals.” Specifically written for bedding plants, there are over 140 designs that incorporate only flowering annuals.
Strictly focusing on the design, the ebook includes dimensions with each drawing to recreate in the field.
Wilmath said there are designs for a variety of plot sizes. Some designs can expand to a hundred feet or more and some are only five feet in diameter. There are even micro-bed designs with only nineteen plants.
The designs were inspired by numerous sources including architectural ornament, kaleidoscopes and the American flag.
