Belgard earns Good Housekeeping Seal

belgardThe Good Housekeeping Research Institute (GHRI) awarded Belgard Hardscapes with the Good Housekeeping Seal, signifying all Belgard products carry a two-year limited warranty as part of the magazine’s consumer policy.

Belgard is the first paver manufacturer to receive the recognition.

“Without a doubt consumers value the Good Housekeeping Seal, especially when it’s found on items that improve home value and create outdoor spaces for years to come,” said Ken O’Neill, senior vice president of marketing for Belgard. “We strive to earn the trust of consumers and contractors alike. The seal is one more piece of support that gives consumers peace of mind when choosing Belgard for their outdoor living projects, and provides an added selling point for the contractors who install our products.”

Research shows 90 percent of consumers are aware of the seal and it represents quality; 77 percent of consumers feel more comfortable buying an unfamiliar product if it has the seal; and 21 percent of consumers are willing to pay more for home building products with the seal.

“I have the opportunity to test products across a gamut of categories, and see truly novel solutions and well-designed products,” said Rachel Rothman, technical manager and engineering director for GHRI. “I was impressed by the quality and breadth of colors and styles Belgard has to offer consumers in pavers and retaining wall products.”
