Bartlett Tree Experts, a provider of scientific tree and shrub care, has expanded in Missouri with the opening of a new office in St. Louis.
With the addition of Bartlett’s first office in Missouri, residential and commercial property owners in the central and west St. Louis County areas can benefit from the scientific tree and shrub care services that Bartlett provides, backed by the research and diagnostic support of the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories in Charlotte, N.C.
“I have great confidence that our new manager, Gene Basler, can lead our operation using his 23 years of experience to excel in St. Louis,” said Jim Ingram, president and chief operating officer.
As Bartlett continues to seek opportunities for organic growth in key markets, the opening of its new St. Louis office expands the company’s plant health care services to keep more of the city’s trees healthy and beautiful.
“St. Louis is a city that loves its green spaces and beautiful trees, such as native oaks, dogwoods and magnolias,” said Scott Jamieson, vice president of Bartlett’s operations in the Midwest. “Bartlett has had the pleasure of working to support the urban tree canopy in St. Louis for a few years. With the opening of our new St. Louis office, we are excited to expand our scientific tree care services to benefit more of the city’s trees and shrubs.”
The expansion brings together a talented team of Bartlett certified arborists and supports Bartlett’s partnerships on several key projects in and around St. Louis, according to the company.
“Many homeowners and green industry professionals have expressed a desire for Bartlett’s scientific plant health services in the St. Louis area,” said Gene Basler, local office manager and arborist representative for Bartlett’s St. Louis operations. “Opening our office in this city, so rich in world-class parks, arboreta and public spaces, enables us to meet that demand.”
John Evans, partner at Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects, said, “Hoerr Schaudt has been fortunate to work with many wonderful clients in St. Louis, the historic ‘Gateway to the West’ region, with single family residential as well as public space projects for the last 10 years. We are excited to have partnered with Bartlett on several initial projects in the St. Louis area where they are assessing and developing maintenance strategies which develop the health, resiliency and enduring beauty of the tree populations within our landscapes. The value Bartlett’s research facility and their scientific data provide to enhance these strategies is immense.”
Hoerr Schaudt principal Shawn Weidner said, “Hoerr Schaudt is delighted to welcome Bartlett Tree Experts to the St. Louis region. Our partnership with Bartlett has enhanced the success of countless landscapes by ensuring expert care through construction, establishment and ongoing stewardship. In a city where the urban forest shapes the character of neighborhoods and parks, Bartlett’s science-based approach and exceptional service bring added confidence to our clients and teams. Together, we can deliver healthy, resilient landscapes that thrive well beyond installation. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and supporting the vitality of St. Louis’s green spaces for years to come.”
