Banyan Water reached a company milestone, saving commercial and institutional clients 1.25 billion gallons of water. That amount, which the smart water management firm has accrued since its inception in 2011, is enough to supply 160,000 homes for a month.
“Water efficiency has a positive impact on our clients’ bottom lines, their communities and the environment,” said Gillan Taddune, CEO for Banyan Water. “We’re proud we’ve helped them save this much water over the past three years, and we’re looking forward to expanding our impact even further.”
Banyan Water’s initial technology offering, smart irrigation, delivers 60 percent to 80 percent water savings over clients’ prior use. The company recently took its services indoors, too, releasing its flow monitoring service for indoor water use, which combines flow-monitoring hardware and a web-based platform to offer clients an opportunity to proactively manage their water use.
