Arborjet’s IMA-jet is now approved for use in Canada for the control of Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB) tree pests.
IMA-jet works via trunk injection, and the formulation specifically is designed to work systemically inside the tree to move quickly to the target. It’s been on the market for nearly 10 years in the U.S.
“The arrival of IMA-jet in Canada provides property owners and municipalities with effective, affordable and easy to deliver protection against the EAB,” said Philip van Wassenaer, an Ontario-based consulting arborist and president of Urban Forest Innovative Solutions.
Russ Davis, president and COO of Arborjet, added:
“IMA-jet offers a change for the better in the landscape management practices in Canada. This is great news for landscapers and arborists, as well as municipalities that have budget requirements and want to protect their public ash trees from EAB.”
