Altoz, a subsidiary of Central Boiler Companies, Inc., released its 2020 line of zero-turn mowers. These include several series of commercial-grade mowers: the XP HD series, XE series, XC series and the TRX series.

XP HD series

The XP HD series boasts three, V-twin cylinder, carbureted versions of the Kawasaki FX — the 852cc with 27 hp (XP 540 HD), 921cc with 31 hp (XP 610/660 HD) and the 35 hp, 999cc in the XP 720 HD. The XP 610 HDi with Kohler’s Command Pro engine offers 824cc, 33 hp and electronic fuel injection. The ZT-4400 Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmission can drive all XP models to a max forward speed of 11 mph.

The series is available in four cutting widths — 54-inch (540 HD), 61-inch (610 HD/HDi), 66-inch (660 HD) and 72-inch (720 HD). Rotational deck height adjustment changes cutting height in ¼ inch increments ranging from 1.5 to 5 inches.

The XP HD Series come with Altoz’s Aero Deck, anti-scalp wheels and fully adjustable baffles. The Altoz XP chassis is an ultra-rigid platform centered around the Altoz C-channel frame, laser-cut and welded from heavy-gauge steel. The low-profile front viewport provides the best sight lines for operators. The angled steel front wheel forks with heavy-duty tapered caster bearings glide over the toughest terrain.

XE series

The XE models are powered by a Kawasaki FS engine with 726cc, 90-degree V-twin cylinders and 24 hp.

The commercial Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmission also comes standard. The ZT-3200 has a maximum forward speed of 9 mph and features an external oil filter for easy maintenance. The XE chassis provides an ultra-rigid platform centered around the Altoz C-channel frame, laser-cut and welded from heavy-gauge steel. Upfront, a low-profile front viewport provides the best sight lines for operators, while the steel front wheel forks with heavy-duty tapered caster bearings glide over tough terrain and isolate the chassis and rider from ground chatter.

Available in two cutting widths – 54-inch (XE 540) and 61-inch (XE 610) – the height settings are adjustable in ¼-inch increments ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 inches while the anti-scalp wheels and fully adjustable baffles provide a commercial-grade cut.

XC series

The XC models combine speed and precision. The 610 Z has a carbureted Kawasaki FX 921cc and 31 hp engine. The larger XC 720 Zi comes standard with a Vanguard’s 993cc, V-twin, EFI and an impressive 37 hp engine.

The XC models come standard with Hydro-Gear transmissions – the ZT-5400 with high- and low-range capability. Together they accelerate both XC models up to transport speeds of 19 mph.

XC also comes with Altoz’s Aero Deck finish cut. The power deck lift is new for 2020, allowing the operator the convenience of raising and lowering the deck via steering arm-mounted controls. Deck height is adjustable in ¼-inch increments ranging from 1.5- to 5-inches.

Available in 61-inch cutting width (XC 610 Z) and 72-in (XC 720 Zi), the anti-scalp wheels and fully adjustable baffles provide a commercial-grade cut.

The Altoz XC chassis is an ultra-rigid platform centered around the Altoz C-channel frame, laser-cut and welded from heavy-gauge steel. These models offer a low-profile front viewport and the TorqFlex suspension glides over tough terrain and isolates the chassis and rider from ground chatter.

TRX series

Altoz line of TRX tracked mowers offers rear torsion axle suspension, complemented by an 11-inch wide turf- or all-terrain track. All three TRX models come with Altoz’s Aero Deck, anti-scalp wheels and fully adjustable baffles.

TRX tracked mowers are available in 54-inch (TRX 354), 61-inch (TRX 561) and 66-inch (TRX 766i) finish cut widths. The TRX 766i has a 66-inch all-terrain deck option for rough cutting applications with six swing blades.

The power found in a TRX 354 and 561 is provided by the commercial-grade strength of Kawasaki’s FX-series engines. All Kawasaki FX engines are critical power SAE-certified with 90-degree V-Twin cylinders. The TRX 766i adds electronic fuel injection with a 37-hp Vanguard big-block engine.

The TRX 354 comes with a Kawasaki FX 852cc, V-twin engine that provides 27 hp and is driven by ZT-3400 Hydro‑Gear transmission to a top speed of 8 mph. Dual side-mounted fuel tanks provide a 10-gallon total capacity.
