AGZA joins Greenworks to celebrate new support center opening

Greenworks' recently earned AGZA Field-Tested Certification (AFTC) designation for its battery-powered riding and stand-on mower line.

Greenworks CEO Yin Chen recently presented the company’s vision of manufacturing and product support and celebrated the grand opening of its new support center in Valencia, Calif.

Founder and President of the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) Dan Mabe was in attendance to congratulate Greenworks on the grand opening of its new facility. He also made a presentation covering AGZA AFTC Certification for Greenworks equipment, the recent status of regulations and what a 2025 roadmap with Greenworks might look like.

Klaus Hahn, president of North America and Europe for Greenworks, and Mabe discussed charging solutions and what the industry will need to support scaling battery electric operations.

In September, the Greenworks OptimusZ Zero-Turn Mower Platform earned anAGZA Field-Tested Certification (AFTC) designation for its battery-powered riding and stand-on mower line. Before starting official AFTC testing, AGZA pre-tested a few mowers and received immediate feedback from operators in Greenworks’ independent testing network. With the positive feedback, Greenworks and AGZA moved forward with comprehensive testing of the OptimusZ platform.

With the certification, the Greenworks Commercial OptimusZ Zero-Turn Mower Platform joined a list of large mowers, robotics and handheld equipment platforms to earn an AGZA AFTC designation. Greenworks allowed AGZA to test its OptimusZ mowers independently in multiple locations and various commercial workload settings.
