Prime Source, an Excelsior Equity company, promoted Justin Watts, former southeast territory manager, to senior vice president of the company.
Watts spent seven years as southeast territory manager where he was instrumental in the growth of the Prime Source brand and distribution, the company said. He will maintain his role as territory manager in a reduced capacity.
“From day one, Justin has been a great contributor and asset to the organization. This promotion in well deserved, and as we shift our strategy to solutions-based, program selling, Justin’s technical product knowledge, original manner and management style will be integral to the continued growth of Prime Source,” said Keith Montgomery, chief business development of Excelsior Equity.
Watts has a bachelor’s degree in horticulture with an emphasis on turfgrass management from Clemson University. Both his education and professional experience in the industry will be assets for his new position within Prime Source, the company said.
“I look forward to my new leadership role at Prime Source and continuing to grow our brand in the turf and ornamental market,” Watts said.
